Redesign of a local media outlet’s website

For the first anniversary of the rebranding (RTC became Qu4tre in September 2024), Qu4tre commissioned me to redesign their website to continue modernising their image.

The website is built on Drupal, and integrated with an in-house content management system that automatically publishes content according to the editorial team’s directives. A custom template was created and adapted to fit their workflow.

    The client

Qu4tre Liège Média is one of twelve local media outlets (local television channels) of the Fédération Wallonie-Bruxelles. On television, these channels are broadcast via the cable network. These media outlets also have a strong presence on the web and social media. The broadcast area of Qu4tre Liège Média covers the districts of Liège, Huy and Waremme.

    The context

Qu4tre Liège Média, formerly RTC Télé Liège, underwent a rebrand in September 2024, changing its name and visual identity to refresh its image. As a continuation of this change, a new website needed to be put in place.

    The objective

While retaining the existing mechanics and architecture (Drupal combined with an in-house management system – basique, an open-source content management tool), the structure and layout of the website needed to be redesigned to better reflect the new image and evolving expectations.

    The result

The project resulted in a clear and scalable editorial platform, adapted to new digital uses and the new branding.

The site presents news in a readable manner, with effective content hierarchy and simplified navigation. The whole experience is designed for smooth browsing, both on mobile and desktop. Multichannel distribution and social media in particular is given greater prominence, making it more visible and more accessible.
